Samson was reserve British National Champion at age three to the great Indian Magic, then in his unbeatable prime. Samson was three-quarters brother to US and British national-level producers Samaveda, Samurai and *Thorayya, and to the latter's US Top Ten and National Champion daughters, Al-Marah Sola Mia, and AM Countess Mine. He himself was primarily a sire of international-class show ponies; in his old age he got a few purebred foals of which one his last foal crop produced Prince Saraph out of Princess Alia would prove the most influential. Samson shows 23 purebred foals sired.
