*Count Dorsaz was a pure Crabbet stallion born in 1945 and imported the U.S. in 1958 by Bazy Tankersley of Al-Marah Arabians. He sired one National Champion, Count Bazy. *Count Dorsaz was twice the winner of the coveted Winston Churchill Award for the best riding horse of all breeds. *Count Dorsaz inherited and passed on a full measure of the Rissalix action. By 1956 he had also won nine first prizes in hand. He sired 185 registered foals ( 30 prior to importation to the US) before his death at the ripe old age of 31.

Statistics show that Count Dorsaz is the only English import to sire both a U.S. National Champion at halter and a U.S. National Champion in Park.
