Julep x Sahra Su by Indraff

May 28, 1955 - January 1, 1996

U.S. National Champion and U.S. Reserve National Champion Stallion.

While researching these pedigree's I come accross moments in history. Bazy Tankersley of Al-Marah Arabians had this to say about Synbad ++. "For some years Al-Marah was in Illinois.  That’s when the original Cedardell had been established and was in its heyday with Red Beyer doing the training and they were winning a lot.  I was very pleased when they sent me the mare
Fa-Rahna to be bred to Indraff and she produced Sahra-Su who in turn produced Synbad ++.

The Buckley’s daughter, Joann, was 19 and a strong breeder in her own right. When Joann fell in love with Julep, then owned by Dr. & Mrs. LaRue and made arrangements to breed her Indraff daughter to him.
Joann was disappointed the issue (Synbad) was not a filly.  Admittedly
Synbad's ultimate potential was not immediately fully apparent Joann had no use for a suckling stud colt . Her father didn't either, but knew Red Beyer felt Synbad had potential, and hence the gift to him.
This transpired in the lower pasture while my father, Red and I were
assessing the crop of foals.  On that day in that pasture I swapped
Synbad to my father for a promising filly, and Dad gifted Red Synbad, who went on to be National Champion Stallion and used to bring down the house when Red opened the Nationals on him at break neck speed with the American Flag."
